Haiku is a traditional performing art that has been handed down from ancient times in Japan. Haiku is a short poem expressed in 17 sounds of 5-7-5. Such a short poem is rare in the world and is said to be the shortest poem in the world. I would like to introduce my favorite haiku. “Hydrangea and yesterday’s truth today’s lie” This haiku was written by Shiki Masaoka in the Meiji era. Hydrangea is anthropomorphic representation of the gradual change from light to dark. At the same time, the feeling that “a person’s heart is as easy to change as the color of a flower” is also included. Even though it’s such a short poem, it’s very beautiful and there are many phrases that I can sympathize with even today, and I love this culture.
In addition, the old man senryu is popular these days, and it is also very interesting, so I will introduce it. “If it’s important, don’t come back again.” I laughed because sometimes I couldn’t find it because I couldn’t find it because I couldn’t find the place I put it away when I put it away because it’s important. Please try to find your favorite haiku (^^)
