Hi, everyone. I’m AYAKA. I moved to Thailand in 2023, and live in Bangkok now. I majored in Thai when I was a university student, so I speak Japanese, English, and Thai. The reason why I became a Japanese teacher is because I like learning foreign languages, so I want to support foreign students who want to learn Japanese through my experience of learning foreign English and Thai. Also, after moving to Thailand I re-recognised many Japanese cultures that I could find because I moved from Japan. And I want to tell these cultures to students.

In my lessons, the main practice is conversations. If you already have a plan to use Japanese, such as traveling or a job interview, I will teach phrases that could be used in those situations. If you don’t have a specific situation where you will use Japanese but want to learn Japanese, I will settle the talking theme (Ex. Hobby, the things that happened this week, and so on.) of the class and do conversation among that theme. Also, One of the goals of my lessons is “Learning Japanese with Fun”. I settled this goal because there is no end to learning languages, so If we dislike learning or quit learning, we will forget that easily. So, to keep learning for a long time, I think it’s important that you not be scared of making mistakes and learn with the way that you can keep learning for a long time. For Example, if you like watching anime, I may use that for learning.

Not only teaching Japanese, I also teach Japanese culture, such as Japanese cuisine, manners, and history. Let’s learn Japanese with fun together! Thank you.

こんにちは、私はAYAKAと言います。2023年4月にタイに来て、現在はバンコクに住んでいます。大学では4年間タイ語を専攻していて、日本語・英語・タイ語の3つを話します。日本語の先生をしたいと思ったきっかけは、私自身も語学を勉強したり、外国語でコミュニケーションを取ることが好きなので同じような人を手伝いたいと思ったこと、また、タイに住み始めたことで改めて日本の文化に気づくことができたのでそれを教えていきたいと思ったからです。

私のレッスンは日本語での会話の練習が中心になります。既に旅行や面接など日本語を使う予定がある生徒さんの場合はその場面で使いそうなフレーズを練習します。特に場面は決まっていないけれど日本語を少しづつ練習していきたい方の場合は趣味や今週あった出来事などテーマをレッスンごとに決めて会話練習をします。

また、私の日本語のレッスンは楽しく日本語を学ぶことが目標の1つです。外国語の勉強は終わりがないので、嫌いになってしまったりやめてしまうとすぐに忘れてしまいます。だから私のレッスンではミスを怖がらない、その生徒さんが楽しいと思える方法で勉強します。例えば日本のアニメが好きならそのアニメを元に勉強したり、好きなアイドルや俳優さんがいればその人に関係がある内容を勉強します。他にも日本の文化が知りたい場合は日本語だけでなく文化も教えます。例えば日本の料理だったり、日本のマナー、歴史なども教えることができます。一緒に日本語を楽しく学びましょう！よろしくお願いします。

Private Japanese Lessons and Personalized Programs

In my lessons, I focus on learning Japanese with fun. Because I think if it’s not fun, it will be more difficult to keep learning a language longer.

So, no need to be afraid of mistakes, and practice a lot together. If you make a mistake, it’s not a problem in my lesson. Of course, I will teach the correct answer, but If you want to change the way to learn or speed of learning, I’m flexible to adjust.

Japanese Teaching Qualification and Experiences

I want to teach Japanese, because of two reasons. First, I also like to learn foreign languages. And I realized there are many unique Japanese cultures after I moved to Thailand, and started to think I want to teach these cultures to people who are interested in Japan.

I don’t have a license to teach Japanese, But I have experience taking courses to teach Japanese to Non-native Japanese people, and have experience teaching Japanese to exchange students when I was a university student.

AYAKA先生へ「なぜ」と「どうして」と「なんで」の違いについて教えていただけないでしょうか?

AYAKA先生’s Answer:

3つとも理由を質問するときに使いますが、「なぜ」は文語的な言葉のため、メールなどの文字の場合や目上の人と話す時等に使用します。

「なんで」は「なぜ」と同じ意味を持ちますが砕けた言葉になるため、友達や親しい人との間で使用します。

「どうして」は理由を知りたい時だけでなく、「どうやって」という方法を聞きたい時や「決して~ない」という否定の意味も持つという違いがあります。

AYAKA先生へ 「いろいろ」と「さまざま」の違いについて説明してくれませんか?

AYAKA先生’s Answer:

「いろいろ」は話し言葉として使われるが、「様々」は書き言葉で使われることが多いというのが1番の違いです。「いろいろ」は話し言葉でも友達と話しているときなどカジュアルな一方で「様々」はビジネスなどフォーマルな場で使われます。

また、「いろいろ」の場合は数が多いことを表し、「さまざま」は量が多いことを表すという区別の方法もありますが、日本人でもあまり気にしないことが多くなっています。

AYAKA先生へ「かしこまりました」と「承知しました」の違いについて説明してくれませんか?

AYAKA先生’s Answer:

どちらも「了解した」を意味する謙譲語です。「かしこまりました」のほうが丁寧な印象を与えますが、「承知しました」は内容を良く理解しましたという意味を含みます。
そのため、ビジネスではお客様には「かしこまりました」を使い、社内の上司には「承知しました」を使うことが多いです。
