Hi everyone, My name is AYAKA, I am a native Japanese Part Time teacher of “Hong Kong Japanese Tutor”. I have been lived in Hong Kong since 2016.

Since I still don’t know much about Hong Kong, I would like to understand your country. I think it would be nice to talk about the culture of each other’s country and so on… Let’s have fun together.

Japanese Teaching Approach

文法は家で1人でもできるので、友達同士のような感じの会話中心のレッスンにしたいと考えています。会話の内容は、生徒さんの思いや興味に合わせれば良いでしょう。会話の中での文法の間違いや、表現・発音のおかしな点をフィードバックし、新しい言葉を教えていこうと思います。教材には、レベルと必要に応じて、新聞や小学生の教科書などを使う予定です。

AYAKA先生’s Answer:

両者とも、「ある状態が続いている」という点では同じ。
「～まま」は特別な感情はないが「～っぱなし」の方が否定的な感情が生じる。
「急いでいたので立ったまま食事をした。」
「電車が混んでいたので終点までずっと立ちっぱなしだった。」

AYAKA先生へ 「～してくれる」と「～してもらう」の違いについて説明してくれませんか?

動作の主体が違う。
・Aさんが私に友達を紹介してくれる。
・私はAさんに友達を紹介してもらう。

「店員と客」
「お客様は神様」これは日本で店員と客を表す言葉としてよく言われる。スーパーやレストラン、コンビニでも店員は、必ず客の顔を見て「いらっしゃいませ」と挨拶をし、丁寧な言葉、丁寧な態度を示す。愛想が悪く、態度が悪い場合は客からのクレームも当然出るし、お店の評判も悪くなる。
香港を訪れる日本人は、この店員の態度の違いに驚く事が多い。私自身、香港で愛想の良い店員を見た事がない…。
この違いは日本の文化とも言えるかもしれない。
