Last time I introduced Gero Onsen, but what you will enjoy in Gero Onsen apart from wonderful hot spring. Well, today I will tell you in different four seasons.

Spring

Osaka-no-Taki Waterfalls

In spring, you can walk along a footpath in the forest and enjoy the discovery of waterfalls in all shapes and sizes-over 200 in all.

Nawashiro Cherry Blossoms

In April when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the tree is lit up at night and it reflects on the surface of the pond. It makes for fantastic scenery. it was designated as a natural monument of Gifu Prefecture.

Summer & Winter

Gero Onsen Fireworks “Musical” (Summer and Winter Performances)

Fireworks are timed to music, lighting the sky in a gorgeous display twice a year, both in Summer and in Winter.

Autumn

Onsenji Temple

This old Buddhist temple attests to the discovery legend of Gero Onsen. The red maple trees lit up on autumn nights are a spectacular sight.

Gero Onsen Gassho Mura (Traditional Thatched Roof Village)

Several traditional houses built in the “Gassho-zukuri” style were moved here from the World Heritage Site of Shirakawa , presenting the scenery of a mountain village from ages past.
